Was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She received her B.S. in Elementary and Higher Education in 1992 from Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU).
Since then she has been educating students at all levels: from kindergarten to high school.
She is currently working on her Master of Science in teaching.
As a woman and as a Dominican educator, one of her main goals is to help strengthen the relationships between the Dominican Republic and the USA.
She is currently the Chair of the DAMA.
