Gala Dinner 2009

DAMA honored TV personality Nancy Alvarez, who received Proclamations from the State of Illinois and the City of Chicago, sponsored by State Representative Cynthia Soto and Alderman Roberto Maldonado. Also distinguished was Dr. Ramón García, a Chicago’s Dominican renowned gastroenterologist for his humanitarian services to the Latino community and to the Dominican community in particular. He receives a Proclamation from the City of Chicago sponsored by Alderman Roberto Maldonado. Arturo de la Cruz, a student at the College of Saint Rose, NY, was awarded the James S. Kouvel Memorial-Educational Award.
