DAMA Partnered with Loyola Medical Center in Fundraising Event

On September 20th,  DAMA partnered with Loyola Medical Center’s Department of Otolaryngology – Neck & Head Surgery in raising funds to support a medical mission to Santiago, Dominican Republic. This mission provides free care to over 150,000 people in 120 rural villages. Last year, they saw 488 patients, did 120 audiograms, dispensed 6 hearing aids, and did 130 surgeries. The mission’s leader Dr. Andrews Hotaling emphasized that for the “last three years we have gathered t a 40-member team, which donates a week of vacation and pay to provide free medical assistance for very poor people in Santiago.” In a two-day notice DAMA succeeded in collecting directly and indirectly over $3,000 to this noble cause.
